Can someone please check my 6-11? More especially 6 & 8.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kewlgeek555 can you ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RatzLover95 @thomaster @AshiKothari

OpenStudy (mrnood):

6 - looks like they may have same amplitude. The have different frequency and wavelength. 7 - OK 8 Looks like they have the same frequency. The have different amplitude 9 - OK 10 - since f is the same then 'pitch' is the same 11 - looks like wavlenght is all the same. Just my estiamtes from the drawings...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@MrNood could 8 be pitches ?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

pitch is just a less technical term for frequency. The drawing shows them all with same frequency - therefore same pitch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you think you could open the website at the top of the page and try to figure out how to complete 12-15?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

You need to do the 'experiment' first. There is a simple equation relating velocity, wavelength and frequency Find that equation - it will be needed for 12 - 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

speed = wavelength x frequency ?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

yes (btw - I'm out now...)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Number eight is different amplitudes. You can see the wavelength is the same, so you assume the frequency or pitch is the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10. The answer should be D) all the same because pitch isn't volume ( volume = amplitude) pitch is the same frequency. Since the wavelength is the same, the pitch will be the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6. I think it is different wavelengths and frequencies. The amplitudes look about the same, but since the wavelength is different, the frequencies will most likely be different
