The pH of a vinegar solution is 4.15. What is the H3O+ concentration of the solution?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

use: \(pH=-log[H_3O^+]\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How exactly do I do that? What is -log?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

it's the logarithmic function. to find \([H_3O^+]\) from there you need to take the inverse: \([H_3O^+] = 10^{-pH}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 10^-4.15?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you sir
