The percent by mass of sulfur in the compound calcium sulfate (CASO4) is approximately?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Get the atomic mass of Sulfur from the periodic table. Then, add up the atomic masses of the elements in CaSO4. Then divide atomic mass of Sulfur by the atomic mass of CaSO4, the n multiply by 100%.

When I did that I got 23.5% is that correct?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Bleh, let me break out my table and calculator lol. Give me a minute

Thank you:)

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Yes it is. Great job; :)
