What is the molecular formula of a compound that has a molecular mass of 81 and the empirical formula C2H3?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Oooo hi again. First, find the molecular mass of the empirical formula. Then, divide the real molecular mass by the empirical molecular mass. You should get a whole number. Finally, multiply the subscipts of the empirical formula by this whole number to get the molecular formula. :)

When I tried it, I got C6H9

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Lemme get my calculator again. x_x

Haha, Thanks I have a huge chem exam coming up and want to make sure im doing these right

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):
