C4H8+6O2=4CO2+4H2O
@javo22
what am i doing?
stating whether the equation is balanced or not
i dont know how to get the answer
I cant use those they are blocked through my school
o ok hold on
Let's start with the following equation, which is simpler: C4H8 + O2 -> CO2 + H2O It is clear that it is unbalanced (4 Carbons on the left, 1 Carbon on the right). A. Balance the Carbons first - C4H8 + O2 -> 4CO2 + H2O That is, C4H8 has 4 Carbons, it must produce 4 molecules of CO2 B. Now balance the Hydrogens - C4H8 + O2 -> 4CO2 + 4H2O That is, C4H8 has 8 Hydrogens, it must produce 4 molecules of H2O C. Finally balance the Oxygen - C4H8 + 6O2 -> 4CO2 + 4H2O That is, 4CO2 and 4H2O have 8 + 4 = 12 Oxygens (right side). That means you need 6 molecules of O2 on the left side. Final result: C4H8 + 6O2 -> 4CO2 + 4H2O
