Who wants a metal? Which best compares 1 mol of sodium chloride to 1 mol of aluminum chloride? Both have the same molar mass. Both have the same number of ions. Both are made up of 6.02 x 10^23 molecules. Both are made up of 6.02 x 10^23 formula units.

OpenStudy (adamconner):

C, third one

Thank you and how did you get that as your answer?

OpenStudy (adamconner):

take that back I believe its D. its supposed to be 6.02x10623 ATOMS. but there isn't that choice and I remember in biology class the teacher said we use formula units instead of atoms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yeah because 6.02 x 10^23 is Avogadro's number! Thank you again. :)

OpenStudy (adamconner):

you're welcome
