find the volume of the solid obtained by rotating the region bounded by the given curves. y=(25-x^2)^(1/2), y=0, x=2, x=4 rotate about x-axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have x=-5,5 and I found the volume to be 500pi/3 ...is this correct?

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

You found x=-5, 5, but I believe they gave you boundaries at x=2 and x=4. x=-5, 5 are outside of those, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aha you are right, silly of me XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so, then what I have

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pi int 2->4 (25-x^2) dx after simplifying

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

That looks good to me now. :) Other than that small mix-up at the beginning, I think you have the process down!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool let me get the final result, hmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pi(100-(64/3)-(50-(8/3))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

94pi/3

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

that looks good to me as well. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sweetness, thanks!!

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

glad to help!
