could some one by chance help me with this like step by step so that im not all confused about the other questions because im totally confused on this question :P 1. what is the solution of the system? solve using matrices {x+2y=9 {x+y=1

OpenStudy (usman1995):

it's easy make a matrix (2x2) by using only coefficents of x and y that will and this will be matrix A now may another matrix (2x1) by using x and y elements in it only this is matrix X now = and anohter 2x1 matrix containing 9 and 1 this is matrix B the equation will take form A multiply X =B now we want x and y so take A to other side it will become X=A inverse B now take A inverse and multiply it with B a (2x1) matrix will be attained now x=first row and Y=second row

OpenStudy (anonymous):

O.o okay wait so the first equation is A and the second one is B ?

OpenStudy (usman1995):

no first matrix is A and second matrix X the product of both these = B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am still very confused O.o

OpenStudy (usman1995):

yup i can't simplify it without showing matrices but i can't here do I? so this is all i have sorry

hartnn (hartnn):

do you know how to get inverse of a 2X2 matrix ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

some what not really could you explain it on how to do it cause im very confused

hartnn (hartnn):

ok, lets first make a co-efficient matrix A the co-efficients of x and y are 1,2 and 1,1 right ??? so our first matrix A goes like this |dw:1396283271103:dw| Any doubts on how to form A ?

OpenStudy (usman1995):

inverse of a |dw:1396283299018:dw|
