All of the terms are divided by \[k^2\] which makes the limit easy to evaluate as the only remaining k term goes to 0.

Another way to look at it is that it was multiplied by: \[\frac{(\frac{1}{k^2})}{(\frac{1}{k^2})}\] since anything divided by itself just equals 1, you're really just multiplying by a fancy form of 1. And as we know, multiplying by 1 doesn't change anything.
