calculate the mass of carbon in a 1-carat diamond that contains 1.00 X10^22 atoms of carbon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you have your givin: 1.00x10^22 and what you are looking for: mass of carbon If you have a balanced equation--> change 1.00x10^22 into moles by dividing by 6.022x10^23 (avogadro's number) then multiply my the moles of the "givin" and divded it by the moles of "what ur lookin for". multiply by the molar mass of carbon
