A 20 kg object falls from a height of 30 meters. How many joules of kinetic energy will the object have just before it hits the ground?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

the gain in KE = loss of PE PE = mgh where m= mass, g = acceleration of gravity on earth, and h = change in height You have all three factors : just put them in the equation and calculate the answer.

my calculations are never right and it throws me off

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I am not going to do a simple multiplication for you

OpenStudy (shamim):

k.E=mgh=20*9.8*30
