what is the formula for the product containing X^3+ ions and Y^2- ions

Parth (parthkohli):

You basically have to choose a chemical formula that cancels out the charge to create a neutral molecule. So let's see how we can do that: \(X^{3+}\) can be taken twice which will get us a \(-6\) charge. And \(Y^{2-}\) can be taken thrice to give us a \(-6\) charge. So our molecule is \(X_2 Y_3\).
