A spring with spring constant .7 cm/dyne has a force of 42 dynes applied to it (stretching it). How much does the spring stretch?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hook's law: Force=kX where k is the spring constant and X is the distance by which the spring has been stretched or compressed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42 dyne = 0.7 (dyne/cm) (x, cm) x = stretched distance
