help please????????? a quadratic function and an exponential function are graphed below which graph most likely represents the quadratic function
a)f(x) because an increasing exponential function will eventually exceed and increasing quadratic function b) g(x) because an increasing exponential function will eventually exceed and increasing quadratic function c) g(x) because an increasing exponential function will always exceed an increasing quadratic function until their graphs intersect. d)f(x) because an increasing exponential function will always exceed an increasing quadratic function until their graphs intersect.
I'd say 'b' - an exponential function g(x) has an incredible rate of growth
as long as the functions are headed in the same direction, a quantity increasing exponentially will "beat" linear, quadratic, and polynomial functions
that sounds good too Littlebird
can you guys help me with this one? The table below shows the values of f(x) and g(x) for different values of x. One of the functions is a quadratic function and the other is an exponential function. Which function is most likely increasing exponentially? x f(x) g(x) 1 3 3 2 6 9 3 11 27 4 18 81 5 27 243 f(x) because it eventually exceeds g(x) g(x) because it eventually exceeds f(x) f(x) because it eventually intersects g(x) g(x) because it will not intersect f(x)
I'd say g(x) because it eventually exceeds f(x)
I agree
thanks guys :)
u r welcome
