How does the end point of a titration differ from the equivalence point?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

the equivalence point is the exact point where \([H_3O^+]=[OH^-]\), while end point is where you actually notice the change in colour (I'm assuming you're using an indicator), at this point you've overshot (gone past the equivalence point) the titration (even if it's a little bit) in order to actually see the colour.
