National End of School OP scores (Overall Position) are assigned from 1 - 25, and give students a percentile based rank. It is based on 3 sections - Performance in English (national test assigned), Performance in Math (national test assigned) and Performance in Schooling (current grades). If each of these performance criteria is broken up into 2-4 sub-sections, is there a formula that can review performance data from multiple previous students (inc. their OP) and determine the sections to focus on that will give greatest OP for least effort? What is this called? And can i have an example?

so like "Maths" -stats -complex numbers -arithmetic -something else and everyone gets scored in these subsections, the total will give u an OP for Maths, and that OP combines with ur OP's for the other 2 sections to give u a total OP score

You always want to target the OP that has room for most improvement

0% to 20% is easier than 80% to 100%

so i'm trying to work out if it's possible to hack the system, and assume that the guys who get OP 1's and 2's get amazing scores in all the "maths", so difficult to compete there, but maybe not as high in the "English" or one of the english subsections... so more effort there would vastly improve OP, as opposed to equal effort in Maths may have no effect on OP...

yep, that's it exactly, but i wanna do it based on their scores not mine

so I wonder is there a formula to reverse engineer the weightings of each sub section to determine if they're weighted equally or not... based on other peoples OP's and scores in each of the subsections

There isn't a way to reverse engineer based on some sample score alone without make some assumptions.
