you need to find the missing side... using the rule of cosines 1st.... before finding angles... when you get the missing side... find 1 angle using the rule of sines.... then you can use angle sum of a triangle for the last angle... hope it helps

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so pick and angle and use law of sines...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

seems to make sense to me...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so \[\frac{\sin(15)}{1.348}=\frac{\sin(B)}{3}\] so \[\sin(B) = \frac{3 \times \sin(15)}{1.348}\] sin(B) = 0.576007

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so B = 35.17 degrees so the other angle is 180 - 35.15 - 15 = 129.85

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

here is an online triangle solver... just put in your information to check my solutions http://nayuki.eigenstate.org/page/triangle-solver-javascript

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

it doesn't matter as long as you have the reciprocals of both...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

and your book should also say sin(A)/a = sin(B)/b = sin(C)/c
