Juan wants to dilute a 5 molar solution of sulfuric acid down to a 1 molar solution. What would be the best way for him to do this?

You could titrate with a base, but then you'd end up contaminating your sample with the redox salt.

It would be better to dilute the solution with more of the solvent, e.g. water.

titrate the original 5mol/L-1 H2SO4, say if its exactly 100 ml or whatever, you would divide it by 5, then titrate that using a pipette, now you have 20ml of the 5mol/L-1 solution of H2SO4, now you add that to 80ml of distilled water, now you have a 100ml solution of 1mol/L-1 H2SO4
