Boiling is a heating process, while evaporation is a cooling process. C. Boiling is a change from a liquid to a gas, while evaporation is a change from a gas to a liquid. D. Boiling takes place throughout a liquid, while evaporation takes place at the surface. It's C isn't it?

It's D :) evaporation happens all the time, and can only occur at the surface (molecules break off and become gases) whereas boiling is when ANY molecule, whether from the surface, the middle or the bottom can just fly off and become a gas.
