which intermolecular force increases with increasing molar mass. - dipole dipole or dispersion? Thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

London dispersion forces are really weak, so I think it's dipole-dipole :) You may want to google it to make sure, though. :3

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

I think as molar mass increases, the London dispersion forces are greater. There are more electrons that can exhibit induced diple-dipole effect.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Strength of this force depends on the molecule’s polarizability • The more polarizable it is, the more easily the electrons are moved around • Such as more electrons
