After a metal object turns to dust (rust), it would have _____. no entropy low entropy high entropy

OpenStudy (rea201):

I believe it is no entropy. I know it is definitely not high because rust cannot be used for building for an example.

thank you

OpenStudy (rea201):

Yup!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Low entropy. In order to have NO entropy, the temperature would be zero. The process of rusting actually lowers the entropy of the metal + oxygen system (gaseous oxygen has higher entropy than solid oxygen, for instance). I had more typed out, but I'm not sure what level you are at, so I removed it to keep this from getting to be more confusing than helpful.

thats helpful thanks
