Is this assuming that the atom is neutral in charge?

Can someone please help me

I asked you a question. Is it a neutral atom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think so im not really sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Atomic number is the same as the amount of protons that it has. 1 proton = +1 charge. 38 protons = +38 charge. In order to reach a charge of 0, you'd need 38 electrons. +38 - 38 = 0. So your answer would be A.
