how to do that
Tomorrow, please ask your friends at school, or one of your teachers, to show you how to do that. If there are mistakes in the way you have presented this problem, then both of us could end up wasting time. I can see the very top expression OK: It appears to be \[a^2-9b^2\]Factor that, please.
Note that this is the difference of two squares. There's a special formula for factoring the difference of two squares. Do you know it?
no
Have you a textbook, a workbook, or online materials that discuss "special products and factoring?"
For example, \[a^3-b^3=(a-b)(a^2+ab +b^2)\] is one special product with special factors. There is a similar formula for \[a^2-b^2\]
a² - 2ab + b²

You're in the right section of your reference material. Note that \[(a+b)^2 =(a+b)(a+b) = a^2+2ab+b^2.\] However, I was asking you to factor \[a^2-b^2\] Look in the same reference material for a formula for that factoring.
