OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Say \(A\) is the matrix \begin{bmatrix} 5 & -2 \\[0.3em] 2 & 1 \\[0.3em] \end{bmatrix} Then to solve isolate \(X\) in "\(AX\)". you need to compute on the left hand side: \(A^{-1}AX\), since \(A^{-1}A=I\), and \(IX=X\). So, you need to find the inverse of \(A\). For a 2x2 matrix, the inverse of a general 2x2 \[M=\begin{bmatrix} a & b \\[0.3em] c & d \\[0.3em] \end{bmatrix}, \text{then } M^{-1}=\frac{1}{ad-bc}\begin{bmatrix} d & -b \\[0.3em] -c & a \\[0.3em] \end{bmatrix}\]

okay so my answr choice is right?
