Ionization energy of gaseous Na atoms is 495.5 KJ/mol.the lowest frequency of light that ionize sodium atom is??

OpenStudy (jfraser):

you've got a value of energy/mol, can you turn that into energy/photon? Then, once you've got the energy of a single photon, can you use another equation to find frequency from energy? \[\frac{kJ}{\cancel{mol}}*\frac{1\cancel{mol}}{6.022*10^{23}particles}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you tell me the proper answer.. the absolute value.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

what have you come up with, i'll see if it matches

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i try to solve it but i did not get the answer .
