2b) Fill in the table below. Use your answer from 2c) to fill in the Health Insurance Deduction. Annual Amount Weekly Amount Gross Income $60,000.00 Health Insurance Deduction Federal income tax FICA (7.65%) State (3%) c) Find your net pay per week. Net Pay = Gross Pay – Total Deductions d) Find your Take-Home percent of gross pay.
What's the Gross?
I have no idea ;~;
$60000
do you mean gross income? cause that's 60,000 o:
So Federal Income takes 7.65% and state takes %5, so what's left now?
i though state was 3%?x: and i think to fill in Health Insurance Deduction and Federal income tax
Oh yes, sorry, new keyboard typo, State wants 3% of your $60000.
3% of 60,000 is 1800 right?
1800, correct
yup
so do i put 1800 in the annual amount column for where is says state 3%?
Yes, weekly payments would likely be \(\dfrac{$1800}{52weeks}\), but it may be 50 weeks with 2 weeks vacation, or something. I feel like we're missing some info in this question.
@doc.brown is smart.
I just did my taxes last week. It's still fresh.
so for the FICA (7.65%) i would just do 7.65% of 60000 and get 4590 for the annual then divide that by like 50 weeks?o: But i do agree with OrangeMaster you are super smart
Well, chop it up how you like, every year you make $60000, the State wants $1800, FICA wants $4590, Fed. Income wants some, and Health Insurance wants some. How much for each? We don't know without some more information.
so this is as much as i can fill in for it?o:
