What will be the volume of a gas at 17 degree celcius and 730mm pressure if it occupies volume of 22.4l at NTP. plz help converting NTP to SI unit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have a volume of 22.41 of a gas at 20 deg. C and 101.325 Kpa so at this point what will be the universal gas constant value of this gas . i.e., R value. since we kn ow the formula PV = nRT here, P Pressure, V Volume, n number of moles and T Temperature and R you know it. so by this formula you can get the R value. use the same R value in the equation again including your problem vfalues of pressure and temperature.... you will get the volume... vollah.... just be sure to convert your temperatures into KELVIN for using gas laws. never use celcius
