That is literally exactly what the question says and that is why I am so confused!!
Molarity is moles/liters of solvent. Without knowing either the amount of solute or the amount of solvent, we can't really do much. ._. If we had one of the other values we could do figure it out.
I know exactly what you are saying I found the answer online and it is 171.2 grams but I am not interested in the answer I am interested in understanding that's why I am so frustrated!! Hopefully you knowing the answer will help somewhat :)

That makes no sense. 1 mole of (NH4)SO4 is 132.1 grams. 171.2/132.1 is about 1.3 moles. Grrr.
