there will be some dark lines in the absorption spectrum ,that is some wavelengths will be absorbed by the hydrogen gas and corresponding dark lines will appear for those wavelength , as hydrogen can absorb wavelength of 654nm and 488 nm only , these wavelengths will be absent from the emergent light http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr162/lect/light/absorption.html if you wish to read some more
