arcsin(sin(-3pi/4))

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Are you suppose to solve that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah it says compute

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Before I start, Is there any answer choices? If so, post them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no :( sorry

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Arcsin and sin are inverse operations, so arcsin(sin(x)) = x f(x) = arcsin(sin(3pi/4)) f'(x)= 1/sqrt(1-x^2) where x= sin (3pi/4) f'(x) = 1/sqrt(1-(sin(3pi/4))^2) from trignometric equations 1-sin^2(x) = cos^2(x) so f'(x) = 1/sqrt(cos^2(3pi/4)) =1/cos(3pi/4) = 1/cos(3*180/4) =1/cos(135) = -1/0.71 the answer is -1.408

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks! :) do you know what the answer n radians is?

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

That's all what i could have done... I have done my best, tried my best! Everything I could do!:)
