OpenStudy (anonymous):

Moles is a unit to quantify an amount of substance. Very similar to inches, feet, or meter as units of distance. 1 mole is equal to 6.022x10^23 atoms. Molarity is unit of concentration for a solution. Or how many moles in one liter of solution. Mass percent: is easier to think of how much mass that one element makes up the entire mass of the molecule. Example: if h2O or water mass is 18 grams per mole The mass percent of hydrogen is 2grams H2/18 H2O grams or for water 16/18 Multiple these fractions by 100 and you will convert decimals into percent.
