OpenStudy (precalchelp):

find the pH and the pOH of the solution 1. 0.023 M solution of perchloric acid 2. 6.6 x 10^-6 M solution of nitric acid 3. 0.0334 M solution of potassium hydroxide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One sec.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For future reference, pH=-log[H+] pOH=-log[OH-] Wait...crap...I might have messed up if those molarities are for the acids in general instead of the H concentrations...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait...I just messed up the order. Here. I'll fix it. pH: 1.) 1.638 2.) 5.2 3.) 12.524 pOH 1.) 12.362 2.) 8.8 3.) 1.4763

OpenStudy (precalchelp):

so pOH is just 14- ph? and ph is -log (x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kinda. You need to user the mole ratio to find the concentration of H. The mole ratios were 1:1 though, so I could skip over that part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ex: H2SO4 2H/1H2SO4 ratio: 2-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think. Dx Sorry. Haven't done these in quite a while.

OpenStudy (precalchelp):

hey thanks for the help !
