What do you think it is?
I don't know. I remember doing a problem like this before but it was a year ago and I can't remember >.<
I wrote h=-16t^2+1000 but I don't think that's right so far
That looks right to me
I just don't know what to do now haha
ok......
The problem up above is right^^
I think you graph it next.... I got -7.91 .... I don't know if that helps O.o
h=-16t^2+hO. That is right. Good bye.;)
I'm not sure what to do next, though, do you have any idea?
Like would h=0?
Yes
And would i just have to solve for that to find velocity? Or is there more I need to do?
No. you just solve for that to find Velocity. Hope that helps:O
So 7.9 is the velocity?
I think 7.9 would be the time, wouldn't it? Not the velocity
Yes ooops sorry yes bye:)
just curious... where did you get the h=-16t^2+h0 from?
It was from another problem I did. But that was for calculating the time
I now got 140 for the velocity so I think that's right
Used a different formula
we know a= -9.8 m/s^2 d= -1000 m (negative because we have defined down to be negative) Vi= 0 m/s (the ball starts off stationary) Vf= ? m/s
yes :)
another tip is that h=-16t^2+hO if you just put units in here you get metres = seconds^2 + metres and you can see that that would NOT equal metres! so that is another thing that you can check if you are wondering if you can use that equation or not
Okay good :) I was also wondering if I did something wrong because it said to the nearest 0.1 m/s and my answer;s a whole number
yes, that is kind of confusing but I think we did everything right here
I hope so
