do anyone know about acid and base reactions
yes, an Acid + Base will always give a Water + Salt NaOH + HCl -----> H20 + NaCl
do u know how to write net, ionic, and net ionic equations?
@LewisDot
if i gave you one would you do it for me? @LewisDot
ok so this is consider {neutralization reaction},, and then you have to understand what are Electrolytes
look up electrolytes so you can practice figuring out your balancing and your net ionic equation
nitric acid plus barium hydroxide yields water plus barium nitrate @LewisDot
@LewisDot most of the time but not always. One example: NH3 and BF3, it's still considered an acid-base reaction but the products have nothing to do with water or salt. Acid-base reaction is just the transfer of electron around, loosely speaking
yea I had a feeling I shouldnt say "always", but the way I put it helps to understand neutralization reactions with acid and base
true :)
@alias, Quote: "Acid-base reaction is just the transfer of electron around, loosely speaking" At Dakotah_leigh's level, I think it is better to say it is a transfer of \(protons\), not electrons.
