The molar mass of calcium is 40.08, oxygen is 16.0, and hydrogen is 1.01. What is the mass of one mole of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the molar mass of the entire molecule and it should be the mass of one mole of the substance. To find the molar mass, find out how many atoms you have in total, according to element, and then just add the mass of them together. In this case you have one Ca, two O, and two H, so its 40.08 + 2(16) + 2(1.01) = your answer
