A student is trying to make pure NOCl by combining NO with Cl2. Do you think he will succeed in forming pure NOCl? The equation is as follows: 2NO(g)+Cl2(g)↔2NOCl(g) Please explain your answer.

reaction is balanced and everything, and this reaction seems really feasible, since the product is much more stable than the reactants, and plus in the reaction mechanism, you only have one bond breaking at a time, so... yes I would say this is possible. One thing that throw me off is the word "pure" :/

Double head arrow means this is reaction which ends to equilibrium. In balance state there are both reactants and product present. So there are mixture and product should remove from mixture somehow.
