OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the h+ concentration of a solution with a ph of 3.8

OpenStudy (kainui):

Concentration of H+ is denoted by this: \[[H^+]\] and the negative log base 10 of this is the pH. \[pH=\log_{10}[H^+]\] So a little bit of algebra will give you: \[10^{pH}=[H^+]\]

OpenStudy (aaronq):

you wrote it right but missed the negative sign in the equation pH=-log\([H^+]\)

OpenStudy (kainui):

Whoops thanks, my bad.
