Would someone mind helping me with a half-life questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Time (seconds) Radioactive atoms remaining (not decayed) Atoms decayed 0 200 0 3 109 91 6 53 56 9 36 18 12 19 15 15 7 12 18 3 4 21 1 2 24 0 1 27 0 0 30

That's the graph where I'm supposed to figure it how from but I have clue.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

what are you supposed to find?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

if you want to find the half-life you can use the first-order integrated rate law: \(ln[A]_t=-\dfrac{t*ln(2)}{\color{red}{t_{1/2}}}+ln[A]_{\circ}\rightarrow \color{red}{t_{1/2}}=-\dfrac{t*ln(2)}{ln[A]_t-ln[A]_{\circ}}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The question just says "Find the half-life of your substance". Don't understand how to fill out your equation.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

t=time \(t_{1/2}\) = half-life \([A]_{\circ}\)=original amount of substance \([A]_t\)=amount of substance left after time, t.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

pick any 2 points and plug them in.
