Why is water considered a polar molecule? A. The molecule has no overall charge. B. The oxygen and hydrogen atoms share electrons equally. C. The atoms in the molecule have partial charges. D. The molecule can only attract positive charges. I think its C

OpenStudy (aaronq):

you are right

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes the atoms in water molecule have a partial charge due to there arrangement, this leads to a net dipole moment which is 0.0039 nm (experimentally found value) and thus they are considered as polar
