Assuming this is supposed to be just a vertical shift (even though they don't seem to be curved identically) G(X) is a 3 units down shift, From f(x)

V units down shift from f(x)=x f(x)=x-V

f(x)= x^3 to shift f(x) 3 units down, you make it ?

Lets say if I had f(x)=x^5 and I had to shift it 10 units down, I would say f(x)=x^5 - 10

So to shift f(x)=x^3 THREE UNITS DOWN, what would I write ?

x^3 doesn't change.

you are just subtracting 3 from x^3

Yeah, so g(x)=x^3-x (don't put in the g(x) put in just the x^3-3 )
