The radius of the concentric circle is 1 in and the radius of the larger is 2 in, a. Find the ratio of the total area of the larger cylinder to the total area of the smaller cylinder b. B. find the ratio of the volume of the larger cylinder to the smaller cylinder c. What is the volume of the space between the cylinders?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In this case u hv to assume that both cylinders hv same h but the h is not given,so u can either consider the ratio of the area of the circular faces which propotional to the r^2 ratio that is 2^2/1^2 = 4 or u can consider the surface area ratio 2*pi*r*h,that is 2*h/1*h = 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U cant get the ratio of the total surface areas unless u know the height caz,the total area is 2*pi*r*(r+h). 2*(2+h)/1*(1+h)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As the height is same Volume ratio is same as surface area ratio = 4:1
