@ganeshie8 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero ?

hero (hero):

So try calculating \(d = 94\sec(25^{\circ})\) and \(d = 94\sec(55^{\circ})\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you show me how?

hero (hero):

Do you have to do it by hand or with a calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont think it matters.. how would i put it into my calculator tho? i only have a standard one..

hero (hero):

First, make sure you are in degree mode. Second, remember that \[\sec(\theta) = \frac{1}{\cos(\theta)}\]

hero (hero):

Also, use an online calc like mathway.com or wolframalpha.com if your standard calculator doesn't have any trig functions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so d = 103.7 and d= 163.8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero what do i do next?

hero (hero):

That's it. You're done. Just don't forget the units. d = 103.7 ft d = 163.8 ft

hero (hero):

Actually, you should state your findings in the form of a sentence.
