EASY MEDAL 5. What is the approximate hydronium ion concentration and hydroxide ion concentration in a cup of tea? Which is higher? (Refer back to the chart of pH if you need to.)

If 6.31 x 10^-7 mol dm-3 is a correct figure the pH is indeed 6.2. This is an an acidic value (any pH less than 7) so [H3O^+] must be greater than [OH^-] Alternatively since at 25C [H^+][OH^-] = 10^-14 [6.31 x 10^-7][OH^-] = 10^-14, [OH^-] = 1.58 x 10^-8 which is less than [H^+] BTW this question shouldn't be in this section
