we have some x values that are the same, this can be simplified to: \[g=\begin{pmatrix} x:&-5&-2&-1&6\\y:&1,0&~1&~4&2 \end{pmatrix}\] now notice that for any given x value, we have the chance of getting more than 1 y value; therefore this is not a function
