PLEASE CLEAR MY DOUBT
If a body is moving with certain velocity and it changes direction then can we say the body is accelerating? I think so because change in velocity is acceleration

velocity is a vector, there is more than one way to change a vector: speed and direction. so yes, change in direction is also acceleration
But mathematically dv/dx dosen't account for direction
dv/dx is rate of change in speed, since its assumed to start with that you are playing in a plane
acceleration is actually a computaion of normal and tangent vectors
oh ok!
http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/CalcIII/Velocity_Acceleration.aspx this gives a better overview
But a common misconception is that accelearation is when velocity increases or decreases uniformly or non-uniformly. And one dosen't think about direction But actually the defination says something different
Forgive me for the spelling mistakes i made
