Which particle(s) make up most of the mass of the atom?

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

The three main particles in an atom are the protons, neutrons, and electrons. Comparatively, the protons and neutrons are about the same mass (1 amu). Electrons, however, are much less than 1 amu, about 5.5 x 10^(-4). From this information do you understand what makes up most of the mass in an atom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! thank you.

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

Glad to help! :)
