35% by mass mean 35g H2SO4 per 100g of solution, so 250g of solution will contain 2.5 x 35g of H2SO4 = 87.5g H2SO4. 100g of stock solution contain 92.5 g H2SO4, so if you need 87.5 of H2SO4 you need to take (100/92.5) x 87.5 g of stock = 94.6g of stock solution 10.5 V = 0.98 x 3.0 V = 0.280 L

If your teacher is looking for grams, then don't include the V = ignore that bottom section.

The V = is only to convert it to Liters instead of grams, but the question is only asking for grams of the stock solution.
