REDOX REACTIONS 2KNO_3 --->2KNO_2 + O_2. Need help balancing using half-reaction method

Half-Reaction Method 1. Determine the half reaction base pairs (usually other than H and O) 2. Balance the atoms other than H and O 3. Balance the O's with H2O's 4. Balance the H's with H+'s 5. Balance the charge with e-'s STOP! When you get to this point this is where you stop and check to make sure that the e-'s are on the opposite sides of the arrow (reactants and products). 6. Multiply both equations now to get the e-'s to equal each other, then you will add the two half reaction equations together and they should cancel.
