Atoms of \[C^{13}\] and \[O^{17}\] are related as a)Isoster b)isotone c)Isodiapher d)Isoelectronic

@Kainui
Its C^13
hmmm some of these words even I do not know what it means but I will try my best. what the value that has been given for O and C is Atomic numbers Carbon has 6 electrons and Oxygen has 8 To find the Neutron number just subtract! C = 13 - 6 = 7 Neutrons O = 17 - 8 = 9 Neutrons Now I can tell you what each word means you figure out the answer now.. Isotone means = Two nuclides are isotones if they have the very same neutron number N, but different proton number Z Isostere means = Classical Isosteres are molecules or ions with the same number of atoms and/or the same number of valence electrons. Isodiapher means = In nuclear physics, isodiaphers refers to nuclides which have different atomic numbers and mass numbers but the same neutron excess, which is the difference between numbers of neutrons and protons in the nucleus. Isoelectronic means having the same numbers of electrons or the same electronic structure.
Proton number is equivalent to electron numbers
Ok..thnx..i guess the answer will be isodiaphers then
Yes! you are right it is isodiaphers because it basically means that their isotopic difference will be the same! I'm attaching some pictures of their isotopes.
hope this clears it out for you :)
