Calculate the mass in grams of 0.800 mole of H2CO3. 1)49.6 2)23 3)78

OpenStudy (jfraser):

what's the mass of ONE mole of \(H_2CO_3\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know i suck at chemistry.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

add the molar masses of all the pieces. look them up on a periodic table

OpenStudy (gebooors):

M = 2* 1,008 + 32.07 + 4 * 16 = ? 2 H S 4 O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The mass of One mole of H2CO3 = 62.024 Now this is where I get confused, you can times 0.800 mole by 62.024. ( = 49.6) or you can divide the 0.800 by 62.024 (= 77.53 rounds to 78) so you have a 50/50 shot at being right.

Correct answer: a) 49.6
